What are pillar candles?

Pillar candles are simply candles without containers. They add a lovely glow and an attractive appearance to any space where they are placed, making them a popular choice for home décor. Our colourful pillar candles add character to your space and are aesthetically beautiful.

However, due to the limited availability of such candles in the Singapore market, some people are still unfamiliar with the proper ways to burn and care for them.

1. Place them on fire-resistant plates or bowls: Since pillar candles are uncontained, it is recommended to set them on bowls or plates that can withstand heat to prevent melted wax from damaging your furniture. You can easily remove the melted wax from the plate or bowl by allowing it to cool completely and then scraping it off with a butter knife. Alternatively, you can place it in the freezer or wrap it in an ice pack to allow the wax to harden completely for easy removal.

2. Remove all decorations before use: It is advised to remove any decorations from pillar candles before burning them, such as flowers and stickers. Decorative candles should be used solely for house decoration and not for actual burning. These candles already contain a higher percentage of fragrance, allowing the scent to linger and spread in the air.

3. Trim the wick regularly: Always trim the wick to 3-5mm to prevent the buildup of soot and excessive flames. This advice is crucial for pillar candles as well. To trim the wick correctly, use a candle wick trimmer or simply a pair of scissors. This practice ensures that you can burn the candles with a steady flame and keep soot off your furniture.
